Boudreaux to Announce Funding
Opelousas, LA – October 8, 2024 – The Board of Directors of the Lewisburg-
Bellevue Water System (LBWS) and Senator Gerald Boudreaux, along with others
will host a press conference to announce significant funding for LBWS. The event
will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the LBWS Main
Office at 1194 Louisiana State Hwy 357 in Opelousas, Louisiana.
This funding will support key infrastructure upgrades, including the refurbishment
of the water tower, installation of advanced water meters, reduction of non-
revenue water losses, compliance with sanitary standards, and staff training.
These projects aim to improve water quality, operational efficiency, and
sustainability for the community.
“I am proud to have helped secure the funding necessary to bring these essential
improvements to the Lewisburg-Bellevue Water System,” said Senator Gerald
Boudreaux. “This investment will ensure that our residents have access to clean,
