The 3rd Annual FREE Okra Music Arts Festival – A Huge Success!
We are thrilled to announce that the 3rd Annual FREE Okra Music Arts Festival was a resounding success! The day was filled with vibrant music, delicious food, and a wonderful community spirit. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to support this event.
A heartfelt thank you to our generous sponsors: Lafayette Consolidated Government, Councilman Elroy Broussard (District 5), Councilman Kenneth Boudreaux (District 4), Sun Community Housing and Development Corporation, Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, Parish Councilman AB Rubin, and School Board Members Amy Trahan and Josh Edmond. Your support made this festival possible!
The festival wouldn’t have been complete without the incredible performances by: Donna Angelle and the Zydeco Passe’, DJ Dr. Boggie Live, and the hard work of Dr. Christopher Williams and the Downtown Convention Center Staff. We also extend our gratitude to the fantastic vendors and food trucks, including Kreole King Street Eats and Meals with Skills, for making the day even more special.
Special thanks to Catalon’s Farm, Owners- Angella Arceneaux and Calvin Catalon for providing the finest okra that was enjoyed by all.
With beautiful weather and an amazing turnout, we are already looking forward to next year’s festival. Thank you again to everyone who helped make this year’s event a success, and we hope to see you all next year!”
Regards,
Brenda Andrus
